Temporary Accommodation Services

Transforming Lives Through Safe, Temporary Supportive Housing: Empowering Vulnerable Individuals with Stability, Dignity, and Hope.

Our Services

By addressing the unique needs of our residents, we empower them to regain their independence, build new lives, and become active members of their communities.

At Solacia Living, our Temporary Accommodation Services are designed to provide safe and secure homes for vulnerable individuals through our Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO) model. These homes offer private rooms within shared houses, allowing residents to maintain privacy while benefiting from a supportive community environment.

Our properties are strategically located within 10 miles of Birmingham, providing easy access to public transport, healthcare, and social services. As we expand, we plan to grow across the West Midlands and eventually throughout the UK, ensuring more individuals have access to secure housing that fosters independence and personal growth.

Key features of our Safe and Secure Homes include:

  • Security: All HMOs comply with local safety regulations, featuring secure entry points, fire safety systems, and monitored communal areas. We prioritise the safety and well-being of our residents.
  • Shared Spaces: Our properties include communal kitchens, bathrooms, and living areas designed to encourage social interaction, support, and a sense of community among residents.
  • Strategic Locations: Positioned close to essential services and resources, our HMOs provide residents with easy access to healthcare, employment opportunities, and social support systems.

Meeting the Needs of Our Tenants

At Solacia Living, we are committed to addressing the unique needs of vulnerable individuals through tailored temporary housing solutions and comprehensive support services.

Vulnerable Adults (18+)

Our primary focus is on individuals aged 18 and above who are experiencing homelessness and are often dealing with mental health challenges, recovering from substance abuse or are in crises. These individuals require not only safe and stable accommodation but also access to critical support services to rebuild their lives.

We offer:

  • Stable Accommodation: Our HMOs provide a secure, comfortable environment where residents can focus on recovery and rebuilding their lives.
  • Comprehensive Support: Residents have access to services such as mental health care, substance abuse treatment, and employment assistance. Each individual receives a tailored support plan, helping them achieve self-sufficiency and long-term stability.
  • Community Support: The shared living spaces foster interaction and mutual support, helping residents regain their confidence and sense of belonging within a safe, structured environment.

Mother and Child (2025 Expansion)

As we scale operations, Solacia Living will introduce HMOs tailored for mothers and their children, meeting the specific needs of families facing homelessness. These properties will comply with UK-supported accommodation regulations, ensuring privacy, safety, and comfort.

Key features include:

  • Private Bedrooms: Rooms will meet UK Housing Act standards, providing adequate space for both mother and child. Each unit will offer a comfortable environment for families, allowing them to bond and live with dignity.
  • Child-Friendly Facilities: Shared spaces, including kitchens and living areas, will be child-friendly with safety measures such as secured windows, childproof locks, and safe play equipment.
  • Bathroom and Kitchen Facilities: Mothers will have access to appropriately equipped kitchens for food preparation and shared or ensuite bathrooms that meet UK regulatory standards.
  • On-Site Support: Dedicated staff will be available to provide guidance, assistance, and support, helping mothers and their children thrive in a stable environment. Access to healthcare, social services, and parenting skills programmes will also be available.

Geographical Focus: Birmingham & West Midlands

Initially, Solacia Living will focus on the Birmingham locality, where there is a significant need for supported accommodation. Our team will identify low-performing or empty HMOs in the surrounding areas, which will be repurposed to meet the needs of vulnerable adults and families. As we establish a strong foundation in Birmingham, we plan to expand throughout the West Midlands and eventually achieve a national presence across the UK, scaling our services to offer secure and affordable housing to those who need it most.

Our Commitment to Safety and Dignity

All our HMOs are built to meet the highest standards of safety and security. We ensure that each property complies with UK fire safety regulations and is equipped with childproofing measures where necessary. Additionally, our properties provide adequate storage, disability access as required by the Equality Act 2010, and ensure the privacy and dignity of all residents. We believe that safe, secure housing is the foundation of personal growth, and we are committed to providing spaces where individuals and families can rebuild their lives with dignity.
